The BBC will air a 60-minute documentary, Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, on August 18th, providing an intimate look at the final chapter of the legendary rocker’s life. The film, shot from 2022 to 2025, follows the Osbourne family as they move back to the UK from America and Ozzy prepares for his final concert, held in his hometown of Birmingham in July 2023. The documentary features never-before-seen footage of Ozzy, his wife and manager Sharon, and their children Kelly and Jack, as they navigate Ozzy’s health challenges, including a fall in 2019 that aggravated injuries and his 2020 Parkinson’s disease diagnosis. These issues ultimately led Ozzy to retire from touring in 2023. The film is described as a “moving and inspirational account” that captures the “enduring spirit” that made Ozzy a global icon. The documentary was initially commissioned as a series but evolved into a one-hour special. (Louder)
